eStream is a fully integrated web-based or client-based EHR product which offers a user-friendly interface along with maximum connectivity, interoperability and accessibility. It will be compliant with the latest industry standards, CCHIT, HL7 and HIPAA, which are pre-requisites for reimbursement through the ARRA. Currently, the prototype is ready and it is gong under the review of Medical Advisory Board for improvements.
Unlike most leading products in the market, it will not only offer what we expect to be the best in class EHR, but will also provide a supporting feature-set to lend clinics ease of digitizing their legacy paper records into electronic patient records. Furthermore, it will offer a built-in features for dictation (audio recording) and transcription support. It will be a highly scalable, interoperable, open system, providing information exchange support for products used in medical services like home healthcare and medical dispensing systems.

XyoMed offers real-time access to managed enterprise applications over the Internet and on site. Applications are managed in various data centers.
1. ASP Hosted EHR Software (Web-Based Medical Software)
- XyoMed hosts the system in our data center, so clinical and administrative staff will simply access the system through a web-browser.
- Cost of ASP system is lower in the beginning, but payments continue indefinitely (again, think about leasing a new car every 3 years) so over time the cost is generally higher than a Client/Server system that you own.
- Practices do not need to worry about data backup and disaster recovery of your EHR and billing systems, as XyoMed IT department does that for you.
- Hardware requirements are fewer with an ASP system - a web-browser in tablet PC or decent workstation is pretty much all that you need to get up and running.
- Practices do not need to worry about data backup and disaster recovery of your EHR and billing systems, as XyoMed IT department does that for you.
2. Client based EHR Software
- Practices owns the software and the licenses, and you host the system in your office on your own server(s).
- Ability to access your EHR software from anywhere at any time using remote connectivity configurations
- Cost of a Client/Server EHR system is higher in the beginning due to increased hardware requirements, hardware installation costs, and the cost of purchasing the software licenses. Over time, however, the cost may be less than leasing ASP licenses.
- Clients will realize increased speed and performance of the system when it is at the local facility; particularly if there is guaranteed bandwidth on your internet connection.
- Practices will need to contract with the XyoMed I.T. department or an internal I.T. vendor to ensure that the system is backing up and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
